Films are scheduled into 2 Hour Blocks, start times for individual films are approximate, please plan accordingly! Heather Laurence will lead this student directed film block. Heather is a teacher for New Vision School, her students will be showing the short films they have written, directed and produced. There will be approximately 5 short films shown on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.in the Studio theater. New Vision School is a private school in the Gorge that provides a holistic, project based education to children ages 3-13. It is located in the historic Mount Hood Town Hall, and has been in operation since 2006. Students in grades 3rd-6th started learning about writing screenplays and making movies at the beginning of the school year. Since then, they have worked diligently to complete an entire screen play, with at least two edits, and to take on the task of directing and editing their work. The screen play workshop inspired many of the younger students to also complete the project at home, because of the enthusiasm and dedication those working on it had.
